What is machine learning and how does it work?

What is machine learning – Basic to advance
Hello Friends,
Welcome to TechieRocky
Today we will talk about machine learning. In this article, we will know what is machine learning? And how does it work?
If you are a student of computer science or have knowledge of it. So you must have heard about Artificial Intelligence.
Machine learning is a branch of artificial intelligence. Artificial intelligence or AI teaches computers to behave like humans. And teaches it to perform different actions like humans.
On the other hand, if we talk about machine learning, then it is a branch of artificial intelligence. But the major difference in this is that machine learning works on its own. With the help of its program, it further modifies the programs to make it better. And then finally apply it.
To a large extent, machine learning works like data mining. Because both are data-oriented. Now you must be thinking that if both machine learning and data mining are the same, then why do we use these two terms differently.
Its main reason is that data mining is human-comprehensible. He analyzes the data of humans and gives them the response. But on the other hand, if we talk about machine learning, it analyzes the data and also gives a response to them.
And we think that there is really a system which is controlling all this data. Let us take a simple example of this, suppose that a person uses different applications daily in his mobile phone such as Facebook Instagram Google YouTube, these applications are used according to their interest and their needs.
Suppose, he is a digital marketing student and loves to read the latest updates related to digital marketing. So in the morning, he reads articles on Google, in the same way, he has a lot of interest in wrestling cricket, and similar sports, so he likes to watch these sports activities at night.
Now similarly, he uses Facebook Instagram WhatsApp as per its requirement. Now, how much data is he consuming here in 1 day?
Every day, he searches for different information on the Internet and learns something from that information. And likewise, some of its search patterns become, which are saved according to the algorithms in the systems of computers.
In which the data of the search pattern of each person is saved as information. For example, the person who uses Google during the day, to read new updates of digital marketing and at night he watches videos of wrestling and other sports.
That is why he will be shown notifications of new articles of digital marketing from Google during the day and he will be recommended videos related to the new latest sports activity on YouTube at night.
So neither information will be shown according to interest only, Rather new articles and new videos will also be recommended according to the time period.
That is, you will not have to search its new updates every day for the same topic Rather according to your search patterns, you will keep getting updates on your own. So this is called machine learning.
In which the data you search is analyzed, and accordingly you are given a response. This gives you a real feel that yes there is really a system that is checking all this data, and controlling this whole data.
It also analyzes which website article you like to read. And you watch the entire video of which channel. Also, You like which friend’s post more on Facebook, so in short, it analyzes your entire data. And from that, It learns how to show you information.
Now let’s talk about the types of machine learning

These are three types of machine learning:-
- Supervised learning
- Unsupervised learning
- Reinforcement learning
Its first type is Supervised learning.
In supervised learning, labeled exams are given as input, In which the algorithm learns from examples. And generates the output accordingly.
And an example of this is the spam filter of email with the help of which the spam messages automatically go into the spam folder.
Its next type is Unsupervised Learning. Unsupervised learning is exactly the opposite of supervised learning, in supervised learning, there were labeled examples that allow the output to be detected.
But in unsupervised learning, there are no labeled examples. Rather, the algorithm analyzes the data pattern. For example Google News.
The next type is Semi-supervised machine learning.
Semi-supervised machine learning uses both labeled and unlabeled data.
The Last One Is, Reinforcement Learning
This machine learning learns from its own records and its own feedback, hence it is also called remote-based learning. This is a learning that learns by itself.
Friends, now we talk about how machine learning works.
You must have done online shopping at some point in your life
Millions of people come to many e-commerce sites and buy things of their choice. Because here they are shown an unlimited range of brands, colors price range.
But we have a good habit, we do not buy anything just like that, we see many things first. And choose what we like. And to choose the right thing, we have to look at many items first.
Many of the advertising platforms target this habit. And we are shown the same items in the recommended list.
There is nothing surprising in this because it is not a human being, but there are some programs which record our activities. And in this way machine learning is very useful for us.
Because it reads our behavior and programs itself according to its experience. And that’s why the better data it will get, the better the learning modules will be prepared and the customer will also benefit accordingly.
Conclusion-
